Friend Making Monday

So Monday is here again, and that means it's time to link up with Kenlie over at www.alltheweigh.com for her bloggy link up.  This week's questions are focused on your fridge (notice how no one likes to talk about/show off their fridge?).

  1. List a few common items that can always be found in your fridge. Condiments, I'm a sauce/dressing/relish junkie.  They tend to over load my fridge.
  2. What kind of milk do you drink? Organic fat free - in case if you weren't aware, aside from the numerous benefits of drinking organic milk, it actually lasts about 3 weeks longer than regular milk.  I can't tell you why, but I don't go through milk that fast so it's reason enough for me to pay the extra $2 a carton.
  3. Do you prefer fresh or frozen vegetables? I have no clue how to cook fresh veggies...seriously.  I'm a frozen veggie girl with the exception of french cut green beans, because I can't ever find them frozen so I have to get them canned.
  4. What do you currently have to drink in the fridge? Milk, unsweetened iced tea, beer, rum
  5. How often do you clean out your refrigerator? Probably not as often as I should, haha
  6. What’s the healthiest thing in it right now? Celery
  7. What’s the most unhealthy thing in it right now? Leftover ribs from Dickey's...that's right, I went there today, haha
  8. What do you wish you had in it that you don’t have now? Humm...pasta salad!
  9. How often do you shop for groceries? Once a week
  10. What’s the weirdest thing in your fridge right now? Not sure really...my baking soda box??  haha
On that note, I'm about to slaughter the people who live behind me.  I'm going to take video of the nonsense so that you all can see what I have to deal with on a daily basis.

Also, I went to take my bike out of my car today to find that both tires were flat.  Apparently the heat can make the tubes explode?  I've had experience leaving my bike in my car before and didn't have an issue, I'm so frustrated!  Not only am I unable to do it myself because of a lack of tools, but I'm afraid to take the back tire off because of the chain and gears.  So, I have to wait for someone willing and able to help me.  ARGH!

At least The Bachelorette is going to be juicy tonight...

I'm a total condiment junkie! My husband doesn't use many so I have them all to myself :)

Thanks for the tip on the milk! We don't use it that often because neither of us really drink it. I hate buying it and have half of it go to waste.

I'm a sucker for buying condiments - then use them once or twice and eventually end up tossing them once they expire! lol

I giggled when you said you didn't know how to cook fresh veggies. I called my mom once to ask how to cook carrots. She said, "Surely you can figure that one out on your own!!!" So I googled it! haha!!

aside from the organic milk and celery, we're cut from the same mold.
What's happening behind you where you live? can't be as bad as the a-hole who won't stop parking in front of our house and making my life hell.. heh.. well it probably is worse.

People ride bikes up there?

I never clean out my fridge. it's bad. I have to check stuff to make sure it's not out of date before i eat it.

I had to clean out my fridge yesterday because my box of wine sprung a leak!

I have celery AND cucumbers!

Bummer about your bike tires.

What is it about condiments? Seriously? I think they mate.

I am totally going to check out the organic milk-I did not know that it lasts longer.

Lastly-can you move away from these awful neighbors? I don't know what else to ask at this point. I am so sorry you deal with that crapola.

We were just discussing the unnatural amount of condiments in our fridge today. We might need an intervention!

A great delicious way to cook fresh veggies is to roast them in the oven with some olive oil, salt and pepper. My favorites to do this way are asparagus, brussel sprouts (they really do taste great this way) and cauliflower. There is so much flavor!!!

Our fridges could be twins!! Except replace the unsweetened tea with the extra sweet kind and the organic milk with 3 gallons of regular fat free. (We need our own cow b/c we drink so much milk...)And I have four full shelves of condiments. What can I say...I like having choices!!

I am also having neighbor issues, although I'm not at the murder stage yet. We just got chickens and the neighbors dogs (which they let run willy-nilly all over the place) keep coming over to my yard. I'm scared to death they're going to eat one of my new babies!! :o(
