I must give my thoughts and deep feelings on The Bachelorette finale! As you probably already know by now, Ashley picked JP. I pretty much knew this before the finale because it's hard to avoid trash magazine covers and of course I spend a good chunk of my time on a celebrity gossip website each day. I don't seek out spoilers, but I don't get upset when I see them.
Either way, I felt for Ben. Did she really HAVE to let him get down on one knee? Have some sympathy for the guy! Ashley's ring is gorgeous and she and her man spent way too much time making out on After the Final Rose. Ashley is going to finish school and then move to NYC to be with her man (which according to my gossip website, has already happened). Ashley rocked some sweet hair extensions and a slightly darker color and JP rocked his usual lack of eyebrows (sorry Connie). Good luck Ashley and JP - I'm rooting for you!
I also need to take a second to apologize for not being such a great bloggy friend, I've been slow at responding to e-mails and making the rounds. The e-mails, I have no excuse but the making of the rounds I have a good excuse. I messed up my reader - so I've been trying to straighten that out while also trying to keep up on all of your posts! It's almost back to normal and I will be too so thanks for sticking with me! :)
Today was good food wise, and SUPER good workout wise. On my 10th time of doing Week 3 of C25K I actually felt refreshed after the workout instead of completely beat down. I think it helped that it was nice and cool out and that I ate dinner before going.
Today I ate...
The usual breakfast of eggs and bacon. I had them scrambled again today so this is a repeat picture:
Lunch was the same as yesterday as well as my day time snacks:
I struggle a little bit during the day as far as eating goes. I pack my lunch and snacks with the anticipation of having a mid morning snack, lunch and then an afternoon snack. For some reason this doesn't happen. I end up having lunch around 12:30 (I have breakfast at 7:30) and then I end up having a snack around 1:30 and then my other snack around 3:00. I don't like this set up for a couple of reasons, I feel like I'm eating when I'm not really hungry OR I'm starving by the time I leave. So I really am not sure what to do - I think I just need to be more aware of the time in the morning and get that morning snack in.
Do you have set times to eat your meals/snacks? Do you stick to them each day?
I went grocery shopping after work where I bought some of these (one of which I had during the car ride home):
I had been craving quesadillas lately, and although I have a million pieces of chicken right now that I could've cooked to make CHICKEN quesadillas I choose to just make cheese ones since I was running a little high on the calorie side today. Dinner consisted of the cheese quesadilla with chopped onion and hot sauce on 2 mini corn tortillas, frozen green beans, half an apple and Baked Tostitos with salsa:
YUM!
Afterwards I went to the high school track to do some wogging, I did 2.25 miles in 30 minutes which isn't too shabby for me (never mind the guy who was there who did about 3/4 of a mile during my 5 minute warm up)!
So my sneaker situation? Well because I switched to my older sneakers my shin splints are kind of flaring up again. Ugh! I can't win! I know you're probably thinking, "Just buy some new sneakers, Amber" but really, I hate buying sneakers. They're overpriced, I never know what to buy and I hardly ever wear them. So I'm trying to figure out what to do, I'm considering cutting down my newer ones where the back of the shoe rubs up against my heel with some scissors...is that bad?
So I came home to get myself situated for Big Brother (yes, I'm addicted) and that included putting my legs up and icing them...
I also got myself a cup of this AMAZING Edy's Yogurt Blend ice cream/frozen dairy treat.
You might already know that I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to froyo, but I needed to figure out what to replace my evening popcorn snack with and of course ice cream always fits the bill. The result? Well like I said, AMAZING. It was so creamy, it reminded me a lot of my favorite soft ice cream, just not as soft. It wasn't too sweet - it was a perfect way to end the evening...
Yes - I put a dollop of whip cream on it. :)
So there you have it, I'm still going strong diet wise and aside from work which I'm just pretending doesn't exist, I'm having a pretty positive week. I hope you all are too!!! <3

I am so glad The Bachelorette is over. I cannot stand Ashley. I was rooting for Ben. I'm looking forward to Bachelor Pad-have you seen the previews for it? And I am addicted to Big Brother, too!
I really liked Ben :( I liked JP too, but I thought Ben was a better fit for her. And I agree that she definitely didn't need to let him get down on one knee. I'm sure it's somewhere in the contract that it has to happen for the show. Anyway, this season definitely was NOT my favorite.
I would probably do better about my eating habits if I did have set times, but I'm one of those who eats when I'm hungry. And I'm hungry a lot! :(
Oh for the love of Edy's..... get ya some new shoes!! :) Even tho you have to break them in a little, they WILL make a difference.
You meal tonight looks pretty darn good! I love salsa. It should be a food group. hee hee
now I want froyo :) and bacon and eggs! just not at the same time :)
I felt so sorry for Ben. She should have stopped him. After watching the show I've decided Ashley must be a book smarts kind of person. I don't know how the girl made it into dental school.
I'm the same way at work. I can go hours without food in the morning, but I swear I'm starving every hour of the afternoon no matter how much I eat.
I like eyebrowless JP because then he always looks happy.
But I think he's going to look bad when he's old.
First off, Love BB!!!! Ugh, hate Rachel so much. I couldn't believe she was crying last night after she was taken off the block. Hate her so much.
LOL, anyway, I do eat on a schedule. First thing in the morning, I have breakfast. Lunch is at 11. Snake at 2. Dinner at 6. It also helps that I have kids that yell at me the times and demand food. I'm having a hard time not pigging out on the snack. Or lunch. It's taken some time to get used to not eating so much.
I love Cracker Barrel cheese! And frozen yogurt! Mmm.
Wogging - LOL!
I'm not a fan of set meal/snack times. I feel like it takes you away from listening to your body and disassociates you from normal hunger signals. Now just because your body says it needs several giant bowls of super chocolatey fudge ice cream right now doesn't mean you should listen, but I think it's important to begin to recognize the actual sensation of hunger and distinguish from all the other reasons we eat. And sticking to a schedule takes away from that. Just my $0.02.
That froyo looks yummy and I will definitely try that CB cheese...I mut be on some kind of dairy kick!
And totally agree on the Ashley thing, she should not have let Ben propose, that was just wrong.
