Zacapa Premium Dark Rum

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Diageo. All opinions are 100% mine.

Zacapa

For those of you looking to add something new to your liquor cabinet I'd like to suggest Zacapa premium rum!

Zacapa is a product of Guatemala's centenary celebration in the town of Zacapa.  This premium dark rum uses virgin sugar cane honey as it's base, whereas other popular dark rums use molasses.  To add to its uniqueness Zacapa is aged in casks that were previously used for American whiskey, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximenez wines.  Each adding their own hint of personality to every Zacapa bottle.

Take a minute to become a member of the Zacapa Society where you can learn even more about this unique liquor as well as enjoy the society's gifts and prizes.

Not sure where to get Zacapa?  Visit http://www.zacaparum.com and enter your zip code to find the nearest store or restaurant serving Zacapa.

Try Zacapa with a couple of my favorite rum based drinks:

Bahama Mama Sunrise

1 oz Zacapa premium dark rum
1 oz spiced rum
4 oz orange juice
2 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz genadine syrup
Serve over ice in a tall glass.

Or for those cooler nights...

Almond Hot Chocolate

1 oz Zacapa premium dark rum
1 tbsp orgeat syrup
6 oz hot chocolate
Mix in pousse cafe glass.

Enjoy!!

Keith and I just duplicated one of his grandmother's recipes with rum.
